Came across this one day when I was changing the background of my gmail account, and I was awestruck by it's beauty. If I think of all the history and secret passageways (Hopefully!) that it might have, i get goosebumps. It's currently my work wallpaper. I keep ogling it at and simultaneously day-dreaming about living here by marrying into royalty or something!! :P
Initially made in the year 871, it is quoted as the most beautiful country house in the United Kingdom, and that is saying something given the generous spread of country houses throughout Britain. It is situated in Salisbury, UK. The Earls of Pembroke live here, but a part of it is open for general public viewing.
I will go there someday, and be all Zaara like:
